organization’s business continuity planning effort

You were appointed by senior management to be the project leader for the organization’s business continuity planning effort. No one in the company has even looked at the plan in more than three years, let alone tried to execute the plan. Senior management appointed you to be in charge of “dusting off and freshening up” the plan. You have just read an e-mail from another appointed member of the team. He has challenged you to tell him why he should “waste his time” on a meaningless effort. How do you respond?
