The above article states that Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) activities have serious and deep impact on the retail sector in the Australian business industry. The CSR defines the continuous commitment and contribution of the sector to the society for economical advancement by developing the community standard. The CSR are addressed as sustainability, stakeholder management business ethics or citizenship by different sectors. The purpose of the CSR activities as shown in this article is to save the people of the minor community by improving the stakeholder engagement into the business as well as to the social development. The retail sector of Australia has started disclosing their sustainability report by performing the corporate and the social responsibilities for the unprivileged communities in the country. The initiatives of the retail sectors in Australia for disclosing and performing the CSR activities for the consumers is to prove make a stand in the business world as a responsible corporate entity. The research from the article on the context of the CSR practices by the Australian retail industries implies that the approaches for the issues regarding the sustainability of the same is will enable the organization for strengthening their sustainability commitment. The CSR initiatives by a retail organization focus on the welfare of the employees, consumer interest, environmental impacts and the community improvement activities. The women employees if suffer severely from the discrimination can always approach to the court, however the company must be careful and should deal with the employees with care as the external and legal claim will cost them huge money. The Australian law is very strict and always protective about innocent women, so the companies always act carefully while handling cases related to the women employee discrimination. At the same time, this article also recommends that they must decrease the internal discrimination so that the talented women employees continue working in the company and contribute to the productivity significantly. However, the company should provide training to not only the service workers, but also for the decision makers and leaders of the company. The training of the management will help them to identify the discriminatory practices and take necessary actions. The authors in this article did not explore the legal aspects more or government’s role in the lowering the practice. The Australian Government Department of Human Services should apply more anti-discriminatory strategies and implement definite set of rules, which are capable of reducing gender discrimination in retail and all other business practices.
