Task Description This assignment provides an opportunity to apply the theory and financial management principles relating to a range of
scenarios associated with preparing a budget within a hospital environment.

Your performance in this assessment will be assessed on your interpretation and analysis of the tasks in the assignment, the
application of financial management theory and principles, with referencing to the literature (where appropriate), and the
preparation of a video outlining the findings of each task to the Chief Operating Officer. The assessment will focus on the
presentation of your answers (in a Word document using a report format), the accuracy of calculations (which are to be
supported by an Excel spreadsheet), the application of the theory, the standard of writing (taking into consideration grammatical
and spelling errors), and the video presentation.
The apportionment of marks is listed on this rubric below each task.
