Task You will be provided with a luxury hotel in Australia to use as a case study that
looks at the evolving nature of the global hotel industry.

In the course you are asked to think about the factors which have an impact
(including economic, geopolitical, demographics and socio-cultural elements,
technological disruptions, changing consumer behaviours and new market
players). However, in this report please focus on these three aspects in the
hospitality industry:
Globalisation
Diversity
Destination image
Your research could include (but is NOT limited to) accessing your hotel’s
corporate website, annual reports, employment websites, or mission
statements, in order to find information that helps you understand the hotel
from these three perspectives. Relevant academic analysis is also required.
For each aspect, discuss one positive and one negative impact on the hotel.
You can structure your report using the template provided.
Include a reference list with six (6) references minimum: three (3) industry and
three (3) academic minimum. You may use your unit readings as a source.
The reference list is NOT part of the word count.
Please submit through Turnitin.
Marking criteria Please review the rubric on the attached page for further detail.
Important note: In order to achieve a passing grade in this unit you must submit ALL assessment tasks
